Andreas Berger was appointed Group CEO of Swiss Re 1 July 2024. He led Swiss Re's Corporate Solution business successfully 2016 until his promotion to Group CEO. He started his insurance career in 1995 as a leadership trainee at Gerling Group. He held several management roles there, followed by various leadership positions at Boston Consulting Group. When Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) was created in 2006, Andreas Berger became its Global Head of Market Management & Communication. He holds Masters' degrees in Law and in Business Administration.
