Anas Alfaris is Co-Founder and CEO of Intelmatix, a deep tech AI company with a global presence. He previously served as Chair of Saudi Arabia’s Science20 in the G20 and was a member of UNESCO’s International Scientific Board. Alfaris was President of the Saudi National Labs and National Science Agency, KACST, and has held board and leadership roles in numerous national and international institutions. He is the founding director of Riyadh’s Fourth Industrial Revolution Centre with the World Economic Forum and established the Joint Centres of Excellence Programme with institutions such as Stanford, Oxford and MIT. He also founded the Centre for Complex Engineering Systems with MIT and the Decision Support Centre with Boeing. Alfaris was an affiliate professor at MIT’s Institute for Data Systems and Society and previously worked with the Strategic Engineering Group and Smart Cities Group at the MIT Media Lab. He holds an MSc from the Centre for Computational Engineering and a PhD in design computation from MIT. He is widely published and a frequent speaker at global conferences and events.
