Mrs. Mildred Tan serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and the Chairperson of the Singapore Totalisator Board (Tote Board). She is also a Board Member for the National University Health System (NUHS), Wing Tai Holdings, AIA (Singapore), Philanthropy Asia Alliance and OceanX Education (Dalio Philanthropies). She sits on Council of Presidential Advisers as a member.

Mrs. Tan was formerly the Managing Director of Ernst & Young Advisory Pte Ltd. She is widely recognized for her leadership in driving large, complex organizational transformations in both the private and public sectors.

Mrs. Tan was Co-Chair for Council for Board Diversity (CBD) from 2019 to 2024; conferred Justice of Peace from 2008 to 2023 and was awarded PBM (Public Service Medal) in 2007 and BBM (Public Service Star) in 2014 for outstanding community service by the Singapore Government. She was nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore from 2009 to 2011.

She is currently co-chair of the Global Future Council (GFC) on Innovative Financing for Nature and Climate (2025-2026).
