Michaella Rugwizangoga is the Chief Tourism Officer at the Rwanda Development Board. She oversees the tourism sector and the management of the brand Visit Rwanda.
Prior to this role, she was the CEO of Volkswagen Mobility Solutions Rwanda and the first black CEO within the Volkswagen group.
The recipient of numerous distinctions, she was recognized as a Choiseul Economic Leader of Tomorrow in 2018 & 2019, as well as top 100 Woman CEOs in Africa in 2019. An award-winning poet, she is fluent in French, English, German.
She holds a master degree in Quality Control and Environmental Toxicology from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany and a certificate in Business Strategy from the Wharton School.
