Marcus Remmers, a German and US national, is Partner in the Bioindustrials Team of Novo Holdings A/S and was previously Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Royal DSM. Being an advocate for sustainability, he is passionate about collaborating with customers and partners to create bold new products and solutions that have a tangible and positive impact on the world around us, making life a little brighter for all.
Marcus has strong knowledge and experience in life sciences and material’s science R&D, business operations, business development, strategy and change management – combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and a digital mindset. He is recognized as an effective transformational leader and team builder with a broad international background.
Marcus started his career in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry with Hoechst/Intervet and Merial (the Animal Health division of Sanofi), where he held roles as Country President as well as leading Licensing & Acquisition and Pharma and Biologics R&D organizations. He holds a Diploma in Chemistry from the University of Freiburg and a Doctorate from the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz.
