Delvin Savara

Musician and Producer, Sol Generation

Delvin "Savara" Mudigi is a Grammy-certified artist and cultural entrepreneur architecting a new creative economy in Africa. As a foundational member, vocalist, and lead producer for the acclaimed group Sauti Sol, he was a key architect of their two-decade ascent. This journey served as a real-world masterclass in brand building and international market penetration, culminating in landmark global hits like Melanin, Kuliko Jana, Midnight Train, and Suzanna. He played a central production role on the band's most commercially successful albums, including Live and Die in Afrika and Midnight Train, giving him a 360-degree understanding of the creative process from composition to final product.
Merging this artistic prowess with a Commerce degree and executive training from the Stanford Seed Transformation Program, Savara co-founded the Sol Group to address systemic gaps in the industry. This vertically integrated ecosystem includes Sol Generation Records & Publishing, which became a top royalty earner in Kenya by launching stars like Bensoul and Nviiri The Storyteller. The label actively builds industry capacity through initiatives like the "Press Play" program, funded by partners like the British Council to train hundreds of emerging artists with a focus on female musicians. The group also founded Sol Fest, which has evolved into Kenya’s premier youth festival, attracting over 15,000 attendees to a holistic celebration of local art, food, and music. Powering this ecosystem is Hustle Sasa, a tech platform he co-founded to democratize commerce, enabling creators to sell directly to fans.
As a solo visionary, Savara uses his platform to champion an authentic East African sound, blending indigenous traditions with modern production. His critically acclaimed debut album, Savage Level, embodies this mission. Beyond business, Savara is deeply committed to social impact, having founded the Savara Women’s Advancement Program (SaWA). This innovative social enterprise uses culturally resonant activities like football tournaments and music events to empower young women in his community with life skills and mentorship. Savara’s career provides a powerful, scalable model for driving economic growth and social change through culture, solidifying his role as a key leader shaping Africa’s future.
Savara is one of Africa’s most talented artists, also celebrated as one of the geniuses in production and songwriting behind Sauti Sol’s hit records, which has brought the band international repute in their career. On top of songwriting and composing in all Sauti Sol albums, Savara was the lead producer in the last three of Sauti Sol’s game-changing projects: ‘Midnight Train’ (2020), ‘Afrikan Sauce LP’ (2019), and ‘Live and Die in Afrika’ (2015), with the latter winning several local and international awards.
Music aside, Savara is also a Stanford Seed program alumni as well as a founder and director in leading companies in the creative industry namely Sol Generation, Sol Fest, HustleSasa and Savage Kitchen.
He also run Sawa program. An initiative that empowers young people through sports and arts.
Over the past decade of garnering skill development, touring and networking, Savara’s growth has led to the awakening of his truth and finding of self-manifestation through different forms of art and culture and expression.
