Currently, 33rd President of the University of Washington, a public university. Following appointment as President in 2015, one of first acts was to launch the university’s Race & Equity Initiative. 2019, BestColleges.com and Campus Pride ranked the University of Washington the number one college in the United States for LGBTQ students. Has received numerous recognitions for research, which is focused on risk and resilience among adolescents, with a special emphasis on at-risk youth.
