Alex is a community builder, advocate, and management consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, a global strategy consulting firm. He is passionate about participative governance, leveraging strategy, coalition-building, and advocacy to drive change across a range of social and climate justice issues.
Nationally recognised for his contributions to social inclusion, Alex founded Australia's first not-for-profit dedicated to supporting emerging leaders of colour in their pathways to senior leadership. Under his leadership, the organisation has engaged over 1,000 professionals and supported employees in advocating for some of Australia's first cultural diversity targets in leading public sector agencies. He previously led Australia's largest LGBTQ+ professional mentoring program and co-founded South West Sydney’s first queer safe space.
For these contributions, he was named Winner of the Professional Services Category in the Asian-Australian Leadership Awards (formerly 40 Under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australians) and recognised as a 30 Under 30 Outstanding LGBTQIA+ Leader by BCG and Out for Australia.
At L.E.K., Alex has advised over 25 clients across healthcare, education, energy, and private equity on strategy, transactions, and organisational performance. He led the firm’s global commuter emissions analysis for its Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) submission, securing L.E.K.’s position as the first major consultancy to have its long-term carbon reduction targets validated, and earning a Gold Rating by Ecovadis. In the energy sector, he has advised distribution networks on customer and corporate strategy, particularly in response to the rise of distributed energy resources (DERs) and community battery storage. He also founded L.E.K.’s first APAC Employee Resource Groups for LGBTQ+ and culturally diverse employees, which now represent 20% of the firm's workforce in the region.
He also serves on the Youth Advisory Boards of both the Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue and the U.S. Consulate General in Sydney.
