BIOGRAPHY – ROELAND BAAN

Roeland Baan has been President and CEO of Outokumpu and the Chairman of the Leadership Team since January 1, 2016.

Before joining the Outokumpu Group, he was Executive Vice President and CEO of Aleris Europe and Asia. Earlier, Roeland Baan was the Executive Vice President and CEO of Mittal Steel Europe and subsequently Executive Vice President and a member of the Management Committee of the combined Arcelor Mittal Group. Prior to that, he held global senior management positions at Shell International and SHV.

He holds a MSc in economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Roeland Baan is currently also Vice Chairman of International Stainless Steel Forum ISSF and a member of the Board of Directors of World Steel Association and Eurofer as well as a member of the Supervisory Board of SBM Offshore N.V. and a member of the Board of Norsk Hydro ASA.
