Gary McElyea is the Senior Director of Health & Nutrition Advocacy for The Coca-Cola Company based in Europe.

Gary joined Coca-Cola in 2011. He most recently served as the Group Director of Coca-Cola’s North America Public Policy Center. In 2022, he was on assignment leading public policy for the company’s Eurasia and Middle East Operating Unit. Before joining Coca-Cola, Gary served as an advisor and spokesman for several state elected officials in the U.S. He also worked at radio stations in Missouri and New York.

Gary is the past vice chairman of The Recycling Partnership. He is a graduate of the Leadership Missouri program and serves on the group’s alumni board of directors. Gary holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Missouri State University.
