Carbon-Neutral Spaceship Neptune Could Take you to the Edge of Space
Spaceship Neptune isn’t powered by rockets but is lifted 30 kilometers above the Earth by a gigantic balloon, big enough to fit a whole football stadium inside. The SpaceBalloon is filled with renewable hydrogen, which means no CO2 emissions. Spaceship Neptune rises at a leisurely 19kph, making it medically safe for anyone who is able to fly on a commercial airline. Space Perspective aims to begin taking passengers to the edge of space in 2024. Once 30 kilometers above Earth, the capsule’s spherical cabin has 360o views. SpacePerspective is a World Economic Forum Global Innovator and has sold more than 1000 tickets for Spaceship Neptune. Watch for more details.
