These clothes are dyed using planet-friendly bacteria
The process uses a special microbe which secretes a pigment as it grows. The hue depends on the pH of its medium so designers can tweak it to produce a navy blue or a vibrant pink. Through synthetic biology, they could expand the palette even wider. Faber Futures is the company behind the process.
