With more than 2,500 of the world’s most influential people descending on one small Alpine town, all eyes are on Davos this week. What will IMF chief Christine Lagarde have to say about the state of global growth? Do artificial intelligence experts really think robots are the next weapons of mass destruction? And how will political Islam influence geopolitics in the coming years?

For those without a ticket to the main event, it’s still possible to follow along and stay updated on all the latest developments. And thousands of people already are.

This interactive chart shows how many people are tweeting about Davos 2016. Every time someone tweets or retweets something with wef, wef16, wef2016, davos, davos16 or davos2016, it pins a dot on the associated location. Some locations on the map have more than one tweet, and those dots are slightly darker.

Navigate through the chart below to see where the Davos buzz is coming from.

The Annual Meeting is taking place in Davos from 20 to 23 January, under the theme “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.
