Pushing Through Undercurrents: Sectoral and regional forces influencing technology-driven systemic risk, and resulting mitigation opportunities

This report presents insights into sectoral and regional forces that influence the spread of technology-driven systemic risk across the financial system and identifies targeted mitigation opportunities available for financial services players.

To create this report, the World Economic Forum’s Technology, Innovation and Systemic Risk (TISR) initiative engaged a diverse group of senior leaders from financial services, technology firms, academia and the public sector. These individuals participated in a series of global workshops and interviews over the past year.

This study is the second in the Forum’s two-part TISR initiative. It is a follow up to “Beneath the Surface” which examined sources of tech-driven risk and how these could potentially converge and become systemic.
