Torben Möger Pedersen

Chairman, Denmark's Export and Investment Fund

Torben Möger Pedersen is the former Chief Executive Officer of PensionDanmark through more than 30 years (1992-2023). PensionDanmark is a pension fund in Denmark that manages defined contribution pension plans, healthcare plans and life-long training programmes based on collective agreements covering more than 800,000 workers employed in 23,000 companies within the private and public sector. Total assets under management are €40 billion. A substantial part of the portfolio is direct investments in renewable energy infrastructure assets and sustainable real estate.

Today, Torben is a professional chairman and board member. Torben serves as the chairman of the board of The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark; Copenhagen Business School; The CIP Foundation; The Danish Society for Education and Business; Hedorf’s Foundation; and Gefion Gymnasium.

Furthermore, Torben is a member of the board of Energi Danmark, Principles for Responsible Investment, The Danish Foreign Policy Society, and The Danish Bocuse d’Or Foundation. Torben is also a part of The Net Zero Asset Owner Alliance and The Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders at World Economic Forum.

Torben holds a MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and is an Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School.
