Sergio Fonseca is the Managing Director of the HispanoAmerica Region for Pearson, the world’s learning Company. Prior to joining Pearson in January 2015, he spent many years consulting for K-12 bilingual schools, and served on the Superior Council of the Northridge School Mexico for five years. He is also a member of the board of UTEL, Latin America’s first completely online university.
Fonseca spent the first 20 years of his career as an “intrapreneur,” working for P&G, Pepsico and Nestlé in Marketing and General Management positions, developing and encouraging innovation. In 2007, he started his own business development firm, Bizcovery.
Sergio has an MBA and an undergraduate business degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. He has served on the board for the Young Presidents Organization (YPO/WPO) and continues to mentor on one Endeavor Company and for an independent entrepreneur in Mexico.
He’s been married to Myrna for 23 years, and is the proud father of four children. In addition to his passion for corporate innovation and entrepreneurship, Sergio enjoys singing, gardening, photography, theater, and, of course, learning.
