Sally Shin

Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Raive

Sally Shin is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Raive. Raive is a foundation AI company for the multimedia industries. Raive’s founding team were part of the executive teams at OpenAI and Nvidia.

Prior to Raive, Sally was the Chief Strategy Officer at UnitedMasters, leading business development, partnerships, corporate development and the company's web3 initiatives. UnitedMasters is a music distribution and services company, giving independent artists access to tools to manage their music, connect with world class brands and to build their careers. She led the partnership deal with Coinbase, Chain Runners and the NBA to help scale the marketplace platform. Investors include Apple, a16z and Alphabet.

Sally is a long time media and technology executive. She started her career in journalism where she was the Executive Editor at NBC News for the Business, Tech and Media Unit. She worked across all NBC News media properties including The Today Show, Nightly News, MSNBC, NBCNews Digital. Prior to that, she was the San Francisco Bureau Chief at CNBC and at 29, she was the youngest bureau chief in the company’s history. She held various roles, including Senior Producer for various shows on the network. During her time at CNBC, she helped launch the first ever tech show on the network, Squawk Alley, which became one of the top rated shows on the network.

She is a scout for Kleiner Perkins, investing in pre-seed and seed stage companies out of the KP Fairchild Fund and an advisor to many early stage startups in the consumer, media, fintech and AI space.

She has a B.A. in Journalism and Economics from New York University and a M.B.A from Columbia Business School. Sally is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum.
