Luca D'Agnese holds a degree in Physics from Escuela Normal de Pisa (Pisa, Italy), and holds an MBA from the INSEAD business school (Fontainebleau, France).
Before joining Enel, he worked at Hewlett Packard and McKinsey & Company, where he became a partner. In 2003 he was designated CEO of the Italian company Gestore della Rete di Transmissione Nazionale (GRTN), which later merged with Terna (Italian electricity transport company) where he performed as Director of Operations, and in 2007 was designated CEO of Ergycapital, an Italian investment company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and specialized in renewable energy.
In 2011 he joined the Enel Group as Country Manager Enel in Romania. Later in 2014, he was designated of Head of Region East Europe of Enel, and Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Slovenské Elektrárne, subsidiary of Enel in the Slovak Republic.
Dr. D'Agnese has been appointed Head of Region Latin America of Enel, and CEO of Enel Americas in January 2015.
