Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Code.org

Bachelor’s and Master’s in Computer Science, Harvard University. Tech investor and entrepreneur. Pursued a career in technology starting at Microsoft; rose into the executive ranks, leading the Internet Explorer team in the 1990s and the MSN portal in the 200s. Founded two start-ups – Tellme Networks, which was acquired by Microsoft and iLike, which was acquired by MySpace. 2013, launched the education non-profit Code.org; currently, Chief Executive Officer. Code.org has established computer science classes reaching 25% of US students, created the world's most broadly used curriculum platform for computer science in primary and secondary school, and launched the global Hour of Code movement that has reached over 100 million students spanning every country in the world. Served as an early adviser or investor at many tech start-ups, including Facebook, Dropbox, airbnb, and Uber. Member of the Board of Directors, Axon and Convoy.
