Fifteen years' international experience in mobile telecommunications and ICT. Visiting Fellow, Imperial College London, Associate Director, Imperial College Centre for Cryptocurrency Research and Engineering (IC3RE). CTO GovTech Labs and DataNet at UCL. Previously, Standardization lead, Open and Agile Smart Cities (OASC) Task Force & ex Vice-Chairman, ETSI ISG on Context Information Management. Research interests in new economic structures enabled by the digital economy, in particular the role of cybersecurity and distributed ledger technologies in the creation of trust in digitally-enabled industries, governments and in the creation of citizen-centric smart/sustainable cities. Advises governments on the role of digital technologies. Adviser, Everledger and Guardtime. Visiting Fellow, Glasgow School of Art Institute for Design Innovation (INDI). Has published seven books, with topics ranging from mobile technologies to the evolution of innovation within the communications industries from 1960 through 2010.
