Anindya Novyan Bakrie is an Indonesian entrepreneur, global investor and philanthropist.
• CEO of Bakrie & Brothers, an Indonesian listed conglomerate with interests in infrastructure, electric vehicle, mining, oil & gas, power (incl. renewables and solar), property, and plantations.
• the Successor to the 82 year-old Bakrie group, one of the largest business groups growing with and for Indonesia, with 12 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
• He serves as the Chairman of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia ) (2024-2029) at which is the statutory body of business organisations in Indonesia representing 35 provincial KADIN and +100 thousand businesses nationwide.
• He also serves as the Chairman of APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Indonesia - established by APEC in 1995 as the official private sector arm to drive regional economic cooperation. Through his leadership, ABAC Indonesia initiated the first Indonesia Impact Fund (IIF).
• He is also Chairman of ASEAN Business Advisory Council Indonesia, where he plays a pivotal role in advocating for Indonesia’s interests within ASEAN, fostering collaboration, and championing the country’s voice in regional economic and business forums
• He was appointed by The International Chamber of Commerce as a Vice Chair for Southeast Asia and Oceania of World Chamber Federation
• He is appointed as the Chef de Mission for the Paris Olympics 2024, to lead the national team and to serve as the head of delegation for a National Olympic Committee (NOC).
• He recently assumed a strategic role in the B20 South Africa International Business Advocacy Caucus (IBAC), reinforcing Indonesia’s commitment to South-South Cooperation
• He joined the board of directors at Oxford United Football Club since 2018 as he led the takeover of majority ownership of the club to be the first Indonesian majority owned English football club.
• As a global investor, he is pivoting the Group onto sustainable and digital investments in Electric Vehicle, Batteries, Renewables (mainly Solar PV), Prefab housing as well as Fintech and other emerging technologies.
• He graduated from Northwestern University in 1996 as an industrial engineer and earned his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2001.
