The Citizens Foundation

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is one of the largest networks of independently run schools in the world. TCF has 1,482 school units in 61 districts across Pakistan. The foundation is the largest private employer of women in Pakistan, with faculty of 12,000 teachers and principals composed only of women. TCF has 220,000 students. Half of the students are girls. Eighty-eight percent of TCF alumni go on to pursue higher education and of those aged 22 years or more, 71% are employed while another 15% are still studying.
