Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA)

The Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA) is a trade union of poor, self-employed women in the informal sector of India. It has an urban and rural membership of 1.25 million, of which two-thirds are rural. Its main goals are full employment and the self-reliance of its members and their families.
