Pachama is working to help restore the forests to solve climate change. It is developing technologies to bring trust, transparency and efficiency to the forest carbon market. It is combining machine learning on satellite and LiDAR data to accelerate the verification of carbon on forests and increase the flow of capital from those offsetting their carbon emissions to those protecting and restoring the forests. It is backed by investors in Silicon Valley including Chris Sacca, Paul Graham and Y Combinator.
