CITIC, one of China's largest conglomerates, is supervised by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China. It is a constituent of the Hang Seng Index. Its focus is primarily on financial services, resources and energy, manufacturing, engineering contracting and real estate. As of 31 December 2019, CITIC had total assets of HK$8.29 trillion and total ordinary shareholder funds of over HK$591 billion.
