
Established in 1992 with the approval of the Chinese Government, the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) is a high-level, non-profit, international advisory body in the field of environment and development. Its main tasks are: the exchange and dissemination of successful international experiences in the field of environment and development; the study of key environment and development issues in China; the provision of forward-looking, strategic and early warning policy recommendations to Chinese State leaders and decision-makers; and the facilitation of the implementation of sustainable development strategy and the development of a resource-saving and environmentally friendly society in China.
