Channels Television

Channels Television has been a private television station broadcasting in Nigeria since the government deregulated the broadcast media in 1992. The company was licensed in 1993, allocated a frequency on UHF and began transmission two years later. It now broadcasts to an audience of about 20 million people and has been named Best Television Station of the Year eight times (2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2013) by the Nigerian Media Merit Award Trust. It has 350 staff.
