Infrastructure 4.0

Infrastructure 4.0 is an initiative of the World Economic Forum supported by the Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub), a G20 organization focused on driving an ambitious agenda on sustainable, resilient and inclusive infrastructure.

Building on the work of the Forum’s Global Future Council on Infrastructure’s report Transforming Infrastructure: Frameworks for Bringing the Fourth Industrial Revolution to Infrastructure and the GI Hub’s ongoing efforts to support the G20 Riyadh InfraTech Agenda, Infrastructure 4.0 seeks to improve the adoption of emerging technologies across infrastructure lifecycle stages.

Infrastructure 4.0 collects best practice case examples of the adoption of infrastructure technologies, and enables a global community that can take deeper dives on the specific issues preventing technology adoption. The case studies are housed on the GI Hub’s interactive public database and regularly presented to G20 member countries.
