Amit holds a Ph.D. in solar energy and has distinguished
himself as a Fulbright Scholar at the National Renewable
Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the USA and a Chevening Fellow at King's College, London. He is Global Storage Lead at the World Bank, overseeing a $2 billion renewable portfolio
across South Asia.
Amit spearheads the World Bank's Energy Storage
Partnership (ESP) efforts driving impactful initiatives in this
critical area. He has gained invaluable experience working at prestigious institutions such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the Clinton Foundation. Furthermore, Amit's contributions extend beyond his professional achievements. He has authored two published books on climate change policy and waste-to-energy, alongside numerous international peer-reviewed journal publications.
When he's not driving sustainable energy solutions, Amit indulges in his hobbies of scuba diving, badminton, and outdoor sports.
